Funimation @ NYCC
Winner of a 2022 Silver MUSE Award
Expectations were high for Funimation's first trip back to the convention circuit, and they asked us
to help them create an unforgettable experience for fans both at the con and at home.
While we helped with the overall experiential concept, our main contribution was the video package. Our task was to create daily recap videos for each of the 4 convention days which were to be uploaded
every morning of the convention, as well as to create an overall recap video for publication weeks later.
After creating a graphics package and gathering music assets, we were off to the con! We worked with Funimation editorial to have a game plan for each shoot day while also staying agile enough to adapt to emergent narratives.
In the end we interviewed countless con-goers, gave some lucky cosplayers a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and helped fans near and afar enjoy a little taste of normal again.
